BPRC Annual Holiday Luncheon with Kimi Yoshino
December 8, 2026
11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Celebrate the season with good company, great food, and inspiring conversation at the Baltimore Public Relations Council’s (BPRC) Annual Holiday Luncheon!
This year, we’re gathering at CCBC Owings Mills for a festive sit-down lunch featuring Kimi Yoshino. Kimi is the Managing Editor at The Washington Post, overseeing Features, Sports, Local, Investigations, and Data, after leading The Baltimore Banner to Pulitzer Prize-winning local journalism.
Yoshino joined The Post in July 2025 after serving as founding editor‑in‑chief of The Baltimore Banner for three and a half years. In that role, she expanded the Banner into Maryland’s largest newsroom, with paid subscribers in every Maryland county, and led Pulitzer Prize‑winning coverage of Baltimore’s opioid crisis. She is recognized for her editorial vision, focus on accountability, and ability to build sustainable local newsrooms.
Before joining The Baltimore Banner, Yoshino spent two decades at the Los Angeles Times, where she rose from reporter to managing editor and led major digital and newsroom transformation initiatives. She also helped oversee the newspaper’s 2011 Pulitzer Prize-winning Public Service reporting on corruption in Bell, California.
