CNN Worldwide is a unit of WarnerMedia News & Sports. Upon its launch in 1980 by Turner Broadcasting System, CNN was the first television channel to provide 24-hour news coverage and the first all-news TV channel in the US. Now CNN is much more than “Cable News Network! Its CNN Newsource is how its 11,000 TV, radio, digital publishers, and newspapers receive content. CNN Newsource has 800+ television affiliates and 200+ international networks; in Baltimore, WBAL-TV, WBFF-TV, WJZ-TV and WMAR-TV all receive content from CNN Newsource. CNN’s studios in nearby Washington, DC provide a unique opportunity for BPRC members to work with CNN for coverage. We’ll find out the best ways to do that during this program!
