Holiday Luncheon: The New “TU”

Join us for our annual holiday luncheon on Towson University’s 2019 branding campaign.
As 2019 began, Towson University launched its first re-branding in more than 20 years. The bold, award-winning effort included key messages, a logo redesign and a renewed sense of pride in TU — Maryland’s fastest-growing university. The re-branding was the culmination of about two years of research and creative work, led by TU’s Division of University Marketing & Communications, under the direction of Vice President Marina Cooper. Spearheading that effort was Rick Pallansch, Assistant Vice President for Creative Services, and Timm Baldwin, Sr. Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy, and their teams of designers, marketers and strategists. The university has continued to roll out the brand throughout the calendar year, with the new logo becoming more prominent across campus and around the community, coupled with marketing campaigns and media coverage.
BPRC welcomes Marina, Rick, Timm and Sean Welsh, TU’s Associate Vice President for Communications and Media, who will discuss the roll-out of the brand, as well as the media coverage that resulted in the first new logo since Towson State University became Towson University 20 years prior.
