This year, we’re gathering at Barrett’s Grill for a festive sit-down lunch featuring special guest Kevin “KAL” Kallaugher—internationally acclaimed editorial cartoonist and former political cartoonist for The Baltimore Sun. For more than 36 years, Kal’s sharp wit and creativity captured the spirit of Baltimore, and today, his award-winning work continues to shape global dialogue as the editorial cartoonist for The Economist.

With more than 10,000 published cartoons, over 150 magazine covers, and recognition in seven countries, Kal has twice been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. At our luncheon, he’ll share how he uses art, caricature, and satire to spark conversation and engage citizens in democracy—a perspective as timely as it is timeless.
