Harry Bosk, APR, possesses 30 years of experience in strategic communications and public relations. In addition, he has been a professional photographer for several years.
Bosk formed The Write Image in June of 2012 to combine his public relations and photography experience. He uses images to tell his clients’ stories and capitalize on the current intersection between social and traditional media.
Prior to founding The Write Image, he had operated Bosk Communications, LLC a firm he started in 1999. Before that, he served as the communications director for nonprofits and public sector agencies including the American Heart Association; Union Memorial Hospital; University of Maryland Baltimore; University of Baltimore and the Maryland Department of Human Resources. In addition, he was a Community Relations Officer for Citigroup.
Bosk has extensive experience in media relations, social media, crisis communications, strategic communications planning, community relations and producing public relations and marketing collateral. He has placed stories in media outlets such as the Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, NPR and ABC News. In addition, he has successfully created a Facebook presence for clients, using it as another tool to build and cultivate their audiences. His photography has enhanced their Facebook pages and their websites.
His work garnered three Best In Maryland Awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Maryland Chapter for client work in public service campaigns, media relations and advertorials. He received a MAXI from the Direct Marketing Association, National Capital Chapter in the category of nonprofit, low budget, brochures. In addition, his photographs have won awards in local competitions.
In 2009, the PRSA, Maryland Chapter, presented Bosk with its Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his contributions to the public relations profession.
Bosk is a past president of the PRSA, Maryland Chapter, and the Baltimore Public Relations Council. He serves on the board of Baltimore Intersection and on the Public Relations/Marketing Advisory Committee for the American Red Cross of the Chesapeake Region.
A graduate of Boston University, he earned an MA in publications design from the University of Baltimore.
