Serve as the leader for a group of agency accounts, ensuring profitability, managing scopes of work, budgets and resources, and working with the team to identify and deliver special projects. Manage a team of staff including support of successful hiring and retention, overseeing professional development and success, and supporting the overall agency culture.
Demonstrate advanced client relations skills, including a successful client attraction, retention, and/or expansion record.
Represent Abel Communications positively and effectively at networking and industry events, conferences and local business meetings
Educate clients and Abel Communications staff on industry trends, metrics, best practices, etc.
Oversee reporting, advice and counsel on measurement for the team’s clients.
Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get the work done as well – must have a solid track record in placing high-profile media results and active relationships with relevant journalists.
Play a clear leadership role in the management of Abel Communications, supporting the executive team with employee retention and recruiting, client relations and process, new service development, business development, and cultivating Abel culture.
What You Will Bring:
BA or BS in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
7-10 years of PR agency or communications department experience.
Successful experience pitching to local and national media.
Successfully managed clients with a track record of revenue retention and growth both in volume of revenue and breadth of services.
Demonstrate strong writing and communication skills.
Successfully developed content for an organization’s social accounts.
Active on social media and stays up-to-date on current trends and platforms.
Successfully managed people, staffing, budgets and profitability.
Previous experience as the main point of contact for clients, managing staffing, and profitability.
Proven track record of success in sales and business development activities.
Established center of influence in the PR and business community.
Give back to the community through regular involvement in a nonprofit board or other volunteer opportunity that supports personal and professional growth.
