Edward Hopkins, Maryland Emergency Management Agency
Edward Hopkins currently serves as Director of External Affairs and Communications for the Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) where he oversees all external communications and liaisons, public awareness and media messaging, and legislative affairs. He has been with MEMA since 2007 and has served as their Chief of Staff, Deputy Director of Operations, and as the Manager of their Office of Domestic Preparedness – Law Enforcement Liaison Group (ODPLEL) where he served as the law enforcement/intelligence liaison with all state, local, and federal law-enforcement agencies and oversaw DHS grants totaling over 10 million dollars.
