Description of Position: Due to the size of the company, the Junior Account Executive is an integral part of the team and will work directly with the Account Executives and President of the company. This position has room for advancement and is a perfect opportunity for someone interested in getting into the PR field or someone with 1-2 years experience. The Junior Account Executive’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting & distributing press materials
- Participating in promotional planning & strategy sessions
- Assisting at promotional events
- Developing story ideas
- Working with journalists, photographers, & television camera crews
- General office administration duties
- Database management
- Research
- Preparing & distributing press clippings
- Assisting the internship supervisor
Qualifications: Applicant should have 0-2 years experience in PR and possess strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills. Applicant should also have some social media experience. Applicant should be able to multi-task, work hard and feel comfortable speaking to new people.
