Marketing and Strategic Initiatives Associate

This position will support the Firm’s marketing and business development initiatives and will report to RS&F’s Director of Strategic Initiatives. The job responsibilities include the following:
Marketing
• Create monthly newsletters that are remitted to clients, prospects, and referral sources
• Develop, gather, and update content for the Firm’s website, including press releases and news
• Create and update social media websites on behalf of RS&F and select employees
• Perform SEO for RS&F’s website
• Update marketing collateral and prepare collateral as needed for meetings, events, etc.
• Organize marketing events
• Support RS&F employees for their personal marketing initiatives as part of the Firm’s overall marketing strategy, including speaking opportunities and publishing articles
• Develop presentations for specific meetings or prospects
Business Development
• Attend networking meetings and functions to meet new contacts, including potential clients and referrals
• Follow up with ‘warm’ prospects and referrals on an regular basis
• Become involved in local business groups within industries targeted by RS&F for new business opportunities
• Develop and support strategic partnerships with companies that have similar clientele for purposes of developing a pipeline of new prospect opportunities
• Research individuals, companies, and industries that RS&F is prospecting for new business
• Prepare comprehensive proposals for potential new business opportunities
Special Projects
From time-to-time, there will be special projects that support various RS&F internal initiatives. Examples of such projects include the followings:
• Update the Firm’s policy and HR manuals
• Assist with various tasks associated with launching new businesses or niche product groups
• Support and update RS&F’s internal intranet
In addition to the noted responsibilities, the Marketing Associate will be a primary liaison with RS&F’s public relations company (along with the Director of Strategic Initiatives). RS&F has engaged a PR specialist to supplement the Firm’s marketing and business development strategy. This is an important investment that RS&F is making, which directly supports the Firm’s strategic business plan and growth strategy. The Marketing Associate will interact with RS&F’s PR firm on a regular basis and be responsible for measuring the success of this relationship, which will be reported to the Firm’s management.
