Stevenson University is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we are seeking the following position:
e Marketing Director
The e Marketing Director will work within the Marketing/PR department and in collaboration with other key departments to support the University with its growing strategic focus on online, web-based marketing activities to expand lead generation for adult and traditional students, and other audiences such as alumni. The Director will take the lead in helping to develop and implement e-marketing strategies and advertising/branding tactics, and provide detailed quantitative reports analyzing projects and campaigns.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor degree plus 5 years of hands-on experience in formulating and implementing e-commerce and metrics that focus on customer acquisition and relationship building or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
• Proven track record of successfully developing strategy and content for e-communications.
• Superior project management skills.
• Experience in tracking and reporting on all projects.
• Experienced with Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing processes.
• Knowledge of display ads and other online advertising tactics.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with many of the current online metric tools including: Google editor, trends, Insights, Alexa, Adwords, Yahoo Marketing Solutions, Microsoft AdCenter, Double Click, SEO Book, ClickPath.
• Highly proficient with Word, Excel, and knowledgeable in HTML and JavaScript.
• Understanding of keyword research.
• Knowledge of major and emerging social media that will be useful to achieve leads goals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability.
• Client-focused.
• Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of constituents both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing strategies and techniques.
• Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials to meet deadlines.
• Valid driver license with good driving record: must be insurable.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work. Reaching, standing, fingering, talking, hearing, repetitive motions. Close visual acuity. Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
Essential Functions:
• Uses knowledge of Internet-based consumer behavior and marketing/branding to develop and implement effective digital recruiting strategies for diverse University constituents.
• Tracks and reports on results of web-based promotions; recommends and implements improvements or changes.
• Helps develop online ad campaigns utilizing diverse digital, web and social media tactics.
• Conducts ongoing and proactive research to determine online marketing best practices and identify potential partners/vendors to support new programs.
• Conducts regular SEO review of all University digital content.
• Other responsibilities include activities related to search engine optimization, online advertising, e-mail marketing campaigns, social networking and community building, web analytics etc. to increase site visitation and dissemination of information to result in leads
