Special Events Manager
Job Location : Development Office
The Walters Art Museum is seeking a dynamic, creative individual to manage its department of Special Events and Museum Rentals.
As a member of the museum’s Development Division, this individual works closely with leadership volunteers to implement all aspects of signature fundraising events, coordinates other events for members, donors, and special projects, supervises all rentals of the museum facility, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- B.S. degree
- Minimum of 3 years experience coordinating events
- Supervisory background
- Knowledge of development
- Strong computer background – MS Office, Raiser’s Edge
- Excellent organizational skills
- Solid interpersonal skills are essential
- Outstanding written & verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Must display a high degree of initiative, creativity, intuition & innovation
- Must be able to coordinate several projects simultaneously
- Must be able special events around a variety of themes for different audience levels
- Must be a team player and able to work with staff in various department and at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
