Community Relations Coordinator-FT-Maryland (Patient First)

Coordinate, organize and lead daily efforts to favorably represent Patient First in general throughout Maryland.

Increase positive media coverage of Patient First within television, radio, magazines, internet and newspaper channels, while managing existing media relations

Serve as initial point of contact for local media and community organizations

Facilitate and oversee Patient First involvement in community events

Work in support of and coordinate with Director of Marketing and Community Relations to ensure continuity of regional activities

Write and pitch press and media releases

Prepare monthly Community Relations reports

Bachelors degree or relevant experience preferred

A minimum of 2 years experience in community / public relations

Required knowledge of and travel in Greater Baltimore, Southern Maryland, and Central Pennsylvania

Occasional travel to Richmond that may include overnight stays

Valid driver’s license and good driving record

Well organized, detail orientated self-starter

Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision

Proficient computer skills; must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Access

Superior writing, interpersonal and speaking skills

Weekend and evening work at select events
