Position: Manager – Employee Communications
Organization: Maryland Based fortune 500 company
Location: Greater Baltimore Area
Reporting Relationship: This position will report to the Vice President Human Resources
Position Responsibilities:
- Partner with leadership team to identify strategic communications needs.
- Develop and manage a strategic communication plan to support organizational goals.
- Continually evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to support effective communications across the business.
- Develop and maintain an array of regular communications channels which may include Intranet sites, electronic bulletin boards, video productions and other communications.
- Establish regular cadence of business communications.
- Develop, integrate and implement employee & community relations communications efforts.
- Support corporate communications initiatives including benefits or other human resources related communications.
- Support the leadership team on communication channels, presentation preparation, seminar coordination and community activities as appropriate.
- Work closely with the corporate communications office to ensure consistent messaging, branding and leveraging of available communication technologies.
- Manage communications to support community relations and corporate charitable programs.
Qualifications:
- BA or BS degree in business
- 6-8 years in experience in the communications field (preferably directed to employees).
- Excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Articulate, persuasive, and able to build confidence with the leadership team
- Personal attributes including a high energy level, self-driven, results-oriented, and having executive poise.
- Proven ability to champion the vision of change.
- Write and edit original content
- Adapt content for various communications vehicles
- Content management systems or other Web/uploading experience
- Adobe Photoshop or similar graphic design software
- SharePoint/FTB or other software programs
Compensation:
Base Pay $80k to $100K
Bonus 10% Target
